Q1. What is environment? how is it beneficial to us?
Ans: The place, thing and nature that surrounds any living
organisms is called environment. it is a combination of natural and human made
phenomena. The environment provides us with air, water and land.
Environment literally means surrounding or condition under which a
person or thing exists or develops. Environment of a plant refers to all those things
conditions which helps in the particular plant's growth. The deserts and the
cold regions are not suitable for the growth and development of human beings.
Among the eight planets in the solar system our earth is the
only suitable and unique planet.for the growth of plants and human life.
it provides the most suitable water, air, minerals etc. for the
growth of all the form of plants and animals.
Q2. What is biosphere?
Ans: Biosphere is narrow zone where air, water and land interact
with each other to support life.
The three realms of the earth, the land, the water and the air
come in the contact in a narrow zone. This narrow contact zone is called
biosphere.
The biosphere has a huge variety of organisms. They may vary in
size from the smallest bacteria to the largest animals such as whales and
elephants.
human beings are the most important occupants of the biosphere and
a part of the animal kingdom. The wide range of species in the biosphere is
known as biodiversity.
