In his ashram he assigned the duty of cleaning the toilet to every pupil. He gave the name Hari Jan to people who were called untouchables which means ‘men of God’. He used to say that every person should do every kind of work to bring equality in the society.

Ans: The people who do the cleaning jobs are not treated with respect. They are asked to live separately in dirty areas. These people have to bear the foul smell. Their children do not get good jobs even after getting degrees. They often suffer from many type of diseases like malaria and dengue etc.
3. What will happen if nobody cleans the drains and roads for us?
Ans: If nobody cleans the drains and roads, we will face many problems. 1. Many diseases will spread. 2. Children will not be able to play in the streets. 3. It will be difficult to walk in the streets or roads. 4. There will be foul smell everywhere.
