Q3. A lot of people from other places came to Jasma’s

Ans: - The people who came to Jasma’s village for help were:

These people helped the villagers in a number of
ways, such as:

more chances of having earthquake and they gave an alarming signal to villagers
to keep them away from these places.

Q4. People in Jasma’s village rebuilt their houses with

Ans: - Yes, these houses would be safer than before because
these were now prepared according to the suggestions and designs explained by
the engineers.
Q5. Think, if there were an earthquake where would you live,
would your house be a danger? What kind of damage could take place?
Ans: - If there is an earthquake in my area, my house would
be in danger.

Ans: - Yes, we are usually told about the safety measures
that should be taken during earthquake in our school. These safety measures are

Hide yourself under a table, chair or desk.
iii.
Cover your head with your bag.
iv.
Stand against the walls or under the slabs.
v.
Stay away from glass windows and electric appliances.
Q8. Why do you think that one should go under a table during
an earthquake?
Ans: - If you go under a table it will save you from some
serious injury.
Q9. According to T.V report, thousands of people were
injured and some died in Gujrat. If the building had been made in the way that
they would not fall in the earthquake, would the damage have been different?
How?
Ans: - People in Gujarat did not die because of earthquake
but they died because of building collapse. So, if the buildings were made
earthquake proof there would have been less damage and less loss of lives.

homes and all the belongings, what kind of people would they need?
Ans: - At the time like this, people would need following
